An infrared slide photograph depicting an ancient stone structure nestled amidst a vibrant and surreal landscape, with twisting trees and a weathered stone pathway, evocative of a fantasy realm.

So I've got a roll of Kodak EIR 400 infrared slide film developed. Color infrared photography is a special genre on its own, but slide infrared is pretty much non-existent today. Kodak EIR rolls are asking astronomical prices today online, having no competition and still holding their ISO values. Shooting infrared also requires some preparation and a color filter on top of a lens. Here I've used the Hasselblad deep red filter to take this picture of an abandoned mine in Wales.

What if we print it in darkroom?

Usually when printing you go from negative to positive. Here we have a rare change to go the opposite direction.

Test control print of a contact sheet of the whole roll.

Trying to imitate cyanotype print here with some extra blues. The view is from Loch Katrine.

The process.

Also printed a roll of Kodak Ektar film from North Wales trip back in December.

Gorse in bloom, even in December.
